Who made this lens? I think I want one... Cheng-Lee Nee Careful.... this is probably advertising hype/babble. It sounds like you're excited because you think is a real macro lens (let's say goes to 1:2 or so) like a Nikon Micro-Nikkor 55/3.5 or Canon 50/2.5 Macro and *wow*, it zooms. If you're looking for a quality macro without spending a ton of money, the Tamron 90mm macro is cheap and is an excellent optic.  It's much better than Canon's new 105mm macro and less than half the price.

I find a sturdy photo vest quite handy. Its hard to wear a photo-vest when you are also wearing a backpack. Gary

:I forgot to mention that I usually take either a Leica Table tripod with :a Leica large ball head or my mini Gitzo 011 tripod with a Leica small :ball head.  I used to carry clamps, but the support was insufficient.   : :Both of these tripods are fairly small and short but very sturdy and :light.  Since I am short, I am used to sitting on the ground to get hotos. When talking about tripods/camera supports don't forget the good old monopod! I use a Manfrotto/Bogen monopod which doubles as a walking staff.... It weighs very little, yet (atleast once you're used to it) gives excellent support for your camera in low light. If you wish you can add the head of your choice, such as a light weight ball head. /SW
