But maybe they didn't know that til the end. The night before the '72 election McGovern had a half political commercial on tv. That's when I learned he was a minister.

a more recent example was the diet aid Hydroxycut, it caused liver failure. the stuff was pushed in a massive TV ad campaign. all tort reform would do is give corporations the license to kill. This assumes that each and every case has equal merit and I don't think that's a good assumption. I still think that the suggestions I've heard for tort reform from both parties are bad and even badder. But I haven't given up my slim hope of someone finding a good idea. Theget ======================================================================= we have courts and juries to decide the merit on a case by case basis, we don't need the government deciding that. what we see here is more wingnut hypocracy, you guys hate the government except when it can benefit the rich. you love states rights, until ignoring them can help the rich. you hate activist judges until they rule like they did this week and let coroporations be considered people with the same rights actual people have.we've never had a more activist court than this one. but it's okay with you because they are activist for the rich.

I see you don't follow current events. the Dems don't and didn't have 60 firm votes, there ids Traitor Joe and the bluedogs who are DINOs {dems in names only} when you figure in the fact the Repubs march together in a firm goosestep where none would ever dare vote their conscience but instead they vote as told 100% of the time. not one repub has voted yes on any bill. that only requires one Traitor{joe lieberman} to screw up the process.

but it's okay with you because they are activist for the rich. It's ok with me because in this case, unlike say in Morse v. Frederick, the court supported free speech. I realize that you may be opposed to free speech, but I like it. But maybe I'm wrong Ray. Tell me how wonderful life will be when the Republicans take over the government again if they would have the power to prevent political speech that they don't like on the pretext that stopping corporations is a good thing.
