L'ers: I searched the archives and could not find much information on this topic so I appreciate any feedback you are willing to provide. I need to get a general consensus for whether or not supplements are on your eMAR for those hospitals live with BMV/eMAR. The literature suggests keeping the amount of non-medications on the eMAR to a minimum and I do not consider Ensure and Boost a medication. I would rather enter a timed intervention in Nursing and document the supplements in this manner. Other ideas? For hospitals live with CPOE and BMV/eMAR, does this make a difference on whether or not you add the dietary supplements to the eMAR? Thank you in advance.
