Mr. Alamdari never stops spreading misinformation and distorting the main issue by adding unrelated and mostly manufactures nonsense to it. It reminds me of Dick Cheney who wanted to drum up the public support for Iraq invasion. He discredited Mr. Wilson who provided intelligence against the war, leaked information about his wife as an operative of CIA and the rest of the story. Here the main issue was the assassination of a targeted Iranian scientist. The motivation for such terrors is very simple and straight forward. It is to terrorize all Iranian scientists to defect out of the country for the safety of their own lives. The only interested terrorists with such a motivation are IRI enemies. The question is why Mr. Alamdari tries to obfuscate such a lucid motivation in FAVOR of Israel? Even worse, adding a flawed, outdated and unrelated article of his as the corroborative evidence! To make it worst, let’s assume his UNRELIABLE account of the torture of Saeed Emami’s wife is correct. What would be the logical conclusion? Given the fact that the Turkish terrorist group was responsible for the killing, obviously, IRI suffered from the lack of intelligence, or its blaming Israel for it was _base_d on flawed intelligence, or Israel was indeed the master mind behind the Turkish terrorist group. Whatever it was, IRI convicted its own officer, and tried to secure a confession from his wife. It is most unfortunate, but the fact of the matter remains the same that IRI had nothing to do with the killing of Mr. and Mrs. Foruhar. However, IRI is blamed for convicting its own officers. That is how pseudo intellectuals (within and without) help the empire and their own enemies. Peace, Mohamad Purqurian On Behalf Of kazem alamdari Sent: Monday, January 18, 2010 12:15 AM Subject: Re: MSNBC Goes to a Suspect Source on Iranian Scientist's Killing Dear Ms. Massy, The response by Mr. Purqurian did not surprise me at all, but yours definitely did. 1. The IRI officially acknowledged the killing of the 4, not 2, was done by the agents of the Ministry of Intelligence, consequently 19 members of the death squad, including Saeed Emami were arrested. Emami, the Vice Minister, apparently committed suicide in the confinement. Then after, his wife was arrested and tortured to confess that she was an agent of Israel and had affairs. This was secretly filmed and parts could be seen on YouTube. 2. A politically _base_d court arranged a closed trail for the arrested agents. However, before the trial was over, Naser Zarafshan, the lawyer of the victims’ family, was arrested charged with “leaking the “secrets” of the regime to the media, and possessing a bottle of win and a gun in his office !!! consequently suffered 5 years in prison! 3. The chain of murders was not limited to 4 individuals. More than 50 individuals were murdered by Ministry of Intelligence in and out of Iran, including 6 leading members of the Kurdish Democratic Party in Mykonos, Germany and in a so called “negotiation” meeting with the government representatives in Austria. 4. Following the slaughter of Forouhars, the killers released 150 names, mostly writes soon to be killed. Following that, they killed two writers, Mohammad Mokhtari and Jafar Pouyande, but were arrested before they could act further. 6. In another case, Saeed Emami plotted to kill 18 nationally known writes and poets such as Shamloo in a setup field trip to Armenia. The failed plan was to send their mini bus down into a deep canyon on their way to Armenia. These were just a few cases of crimes committed by some people in the IRI. K. Alamdari On Behalf Of Bench Sent: Sunday, January 17, 2010 6:20 PM Subject: RE: [CASMII-Discussion] Re: MSNBC Goes to a Suspect Source on Iranian Scientist's Killing Wrong Shahram, The discussion began with Mr. Alamdari using an outdated and flawed article to obfuscate the foreign interest in the killing of our scientists. He implied having the crystal ball that IRI was the real killer trying to conceal “the truth” by accusing Israel! Just think about it. The whole purpose of such terrorist acts is to terrorize our scientists to defect. IRI has been called anything, but stupid, and this gentleman wants our reader to believe IRI did it! Then Massy corrected him that his outdated article was flawed because Turkey captured the real killers. While I was adding my two cents, you jumped in, and the rest of the story. Also, I agree “the people who destroyed property during the protests should be prosecuted for destruction of property” but by the same token, it would be stupid to charge people who committed crimes against our national security with destruction of mundane property damages! Yes, dear Shahram, it was a very complicated case. Please do not insult our readers’ intelligence. Peace, Mohamad Purqurian On Behalf Of Shahram Mostarshed Sent: Sunday, January 17, 2010 2:52 PM Subject: [CASMII-Discussion] Re: MSNBC Goes to a Suspect Source on Iranian Scientist's Killing I believe the discussion began when Massy pointed to an article in a Turkish newspaper to prove that the Forouhars were murdered by some unltr-nationalist Turkish terror group. I merely pointed out that the case went to criminal trial in Iran and it was shown that Saeed Emami and his gang were responsible for the murders. You can draw your own conclusions as to which evidence carries more weight. The only thing political about that trial was that the victims were murdered _base_d on their political beliefs. Also the people who destroyed property during the protests should be prosecuted for destruction of property, not conspiracy against the state! Shahram _____ From: Bench Sent: Sun, January 17, 2010 1:27:21 PM Subject: [CASMII-Discussion] Re: MSNBC Goes to a Suspect Source on Iranian Scientist's Killing Dear Shahram, That is exactly the point. If the most comprehensive legal system cannot make a criminal conviction (_base_d on hard evidence) flawless, how do you expect a political trial not to make a judicial error in convicting Saeed Emami who committed suicide after the conviction or reformist who confessed to their wrong doings? Are you denying the fact that rioters burnt buildings, attacked public properties, and violently attacked security forces? How do you expect law and order to work? If innocent people are convicted, it is unfortunate and we must all try to help the system become more and more just and responsive. But we cannot and should not apply double standard to Saeed Emami was guilty, but reformists were not. I was the first to post a comment on political trials, but I would never ever call them show trials. The point is simple and very much clear. It is the opposition that is NOT credible. To be credible, you cannot have it both ways. Peace, Mohamad Purqurian On Behalf Of Shahram Mostarshed Sent: Sunday, January 17, 2010 12:41 PM Subject: [CASMII-Discussion] Re: MSNBC Goes to a Suspect Source on Iranian Scientist's Killing Dear Mohammad, You are comparing a political show trial with a criminal case. There is no comparison. Political show trials are _base_d on false accusations and hearsay, whereas criminal trials are _base_d on hard evidence. Shahram _____ From: Bench Sent: Sun, January 17, 2010 11:47:52 AM Subject: [CASMII-Discussion] RE: [LaaL Msg# 6678] Re: MSNBC Goes to a Suspect Source on Iranian Scientist's Killing Dear Shahram, You said: “The official investigation determined that Saeed Emami and his gang of thugs in the intelligence ministry had committed the murders.” Very interesting! Do you also believe that IRI also finds certain so called reformists guilty of conspiracy against the state? Or this is simply a show trial and that was an investigation? ! It is unfortunate that IRI is under such tremendous pressure, existential threat, and so many judicial hurdle. Yet, the most comprehensive legal system in the world (the United States of America) has had so many innocent people convicted to death. So, it is quite natural for IRI to make honest judicial errors. I am not in a position to pass judgment in favor or against “Saeed Emami” and other convicts, but it does not matter whether such errors are against hardliners or reformists. We simply cannot apply such ubiquitous double standards against IRI. It is exactly like the election results. When reformists win, hardliners respect the outcome, but the opposite is not true. The fact of the matter remains the same that Turkey was a neutral state in respect to Iran when the revelation took place. Peace, Mohamad Purqurian On Behalf Of Massy Homayouni Sent: Sunday, January 17, 2010 11:01 AM Subject: Re: MSNBC Goes to a Suspect Source on Iranian Scientist's Killing Shahram; Why is the truth so incredible? Dr. Alamdari sent forth an e-mail and one of the statements was in reference to the death of Dr. and Mrs. Dariush Forouhar. I responded to that particular statement and provided evidence that his claim is not accurate. Why don't you ask Dr. Kaveh Farrokh what he thinks about the death of Dr. and Mrs. Forouhar. He has been doing alot of investigation on the separtist ethinic movements and he is quite familiar with these issues. I am sure he can provide you with excellent analysis on this subject.
