Dear everyone It has been a long time since I communicated. I was going to write a thank you directly to Roiza Weinreich and decided it would be simply selfish not to share it with all of you. Thursday saw the introduction of a lovely 'Boruch Hashem' notebook in our family. Each day we record (those who can write independently and for the younger ones I act as their scribe) anything they wish to thank Hashem for. I can see this becoming a diary for the kids to look back at and remember events that happened and an official recording of our gratitude to the one above. You may wish to start this project and it helps to bring unity in the family. Another beautiful thing she mentioned in her Shiur was about the meaning of 'Shehakol Niyeh Bidvoiroi'. Eveything that transpires in our lives, including challenging events, are directly from Hashem. This brocha has become a balm to my soul. It constantly reminds me that when seemingly 'bad' things occur it is directly from Hashem, our kind Father who provides us with 'shots/injections' solely for our benefit. Whenever I am feeling 'low' I can simply eat something (Shehakol of course) and be spiritually and physically nurtured! Well, you have probably realised that I am a 'Roiza' fan. Whenever I get a chance to listen to one of her Shiurim I know I will always pick up a practical tip. So, what has all this to do with Chatzos? Thanks to Roiza I contantly say, L'kovod Shabbos Kodesh when performing tasks. And, my kids do too. We served a scrumptious chocolate pie from the freezer which my son and I created one Sunday. Chatzos has created this wonderful feeling in our house and although I started this initiative approx half a year ago I am eternally grateful to Azriella and all the founding members of this group. Roiza's shiurim are on Kol Haloshon 001 718 906 6400). She just spoke on the Aneini line and that was 1 (for English), 5 (for women), 10 and 1 again. I know she has done an entire series on Shabbos and that is accessed by pressing 1, 5, 4, 1. Roiza is wonderfully positive, practical and inspiring. And, if you are still struggling with Chatzos just jump into it and worry about the implications later. The benefits are numerous and come with no regrets. Sarah
