Also, Bob Estes has started using some of the principles of natural golf in his own swing without acknowledging that fact. And since doing so has performed better on the PGA tour. He has gone to a 10 finger _base_ball grip and uses larger grips on his clubs. The ten finger grip is integral to the natural golf system as I have read about it. Funny that those two fundamental changes away from the Varden Grip have made him so much more successful on tour. Bob Estes believes that his collarbone is tilted and that using the 10-finger grip lets his bottom hand be lower to accomodate the clavicle tilt. I've never seen any mention from Estes that Natural Golf has anything to do with it. I also believe he's used the 10-finger grip at least occasionally for most of his golfing life. Brent Hutto

If you want to see something amazing, try and get a hold of some video of him striking the ball. Every shot is perfect and down the line, almost in the same space as the shot before. I have a video my friend took of him hitting balls at a driving range in Myrtle Beach and the legend is a lot bigger than his abilities. He does miss shots and spray the ball. Another friend of mine saw him at a clinic in Florida and said when he hits it he nails it but he does have his share of misses. No conventional golfer has ever been as accurate a ball striker. Neither has anyone else using NG. Once again, natural golf and single axis have not been practiced long enough. Also, it is very difficult for an adult, nontheless a young golfer to use a system as different as single axis due to peer pressure. Unfortunately I have seen too many golfers give up single axis before giving it a chance due to the ridicule of peers and go back to conventional golf. As for Moes Abilities, his record speaks for itself. Don't put the man's talent down just because he marches to a different drum.

About a month ago, the local driving range I frequent had a guy in town to give a Natural Golf demo. There was a poster that explained that he was a certified NG instructor and that he would be available for private lessons (at something like $60 per hour IIRC). I thought it would be interesting to see his demo but alas I was out of town. Move forward to today. I haven't swung a club for two weeks because I was so disgusted with my last round (suspended myself for throwing a club). So today I brought my 5-wood to hit a small bucket thinking I would use that for tee shots. When I arrived, there was a banner staked in the ground announcing that the certified NG instructor was on board. I saw this rather young guy working with a woman who appeared to be a total beginner. I wandered down the line and proceeded to hit two or three good shots out of the 45 balls in the bucket. As I walked away disgusted, I started thinking maybe I just ought to talk to the guy. What could it hurt since I cant seem to hit a golf ball these days (unless my pro is standing behind me in which case I look like a single digit p_layer_). As I walked back, I saw that he was addressing the ball. He stood there for a few seconds, changed his view from the ball to the target a couple of times but otherwise looked like a typical weekend hacker

I am a golf instructor... I struggled years to find a good instructor... I was lucky to find one who swing like Ben Hogan who said every natural instinct to hit a ball is wrong , absolutley wrong If we use our mind or brain to hit a ball, then you have to suffer and hurt your confidence... go to buy better golf by paying to good instructor. I respect Ben Hogan and admire Ben Hogan... please buy his book and read it is very useful .... I highly recommend to all people who loves golf. You Tarzan, she Jane? David Laville, G.S.E.M.
