Exceptions to a rule do not make the norm. Sorry you are so opinionated about that which you know little about. Brad Brad, I know this is the usenet and everyone is en_title_d to say whatever they want. I truly respect that as well as your opinion on NG. If you think NG is trash, hey more power to you.

I personally have been using it for about 1.5 years ( total time playing golf about 3 years ) and for the most part play better than most of the conventional golfers I play with. I work in the silicon valley so I get the chance to play golf a lot with different p_layer_s who all play CG and have mostly been playing for at least 5 years. I am not saying this to imply that NG is better but to merely point out that there are varying degrees of skill level in both methods and a person should use whatever makes them a better p_layer_. The final point I wanted to make is that any golf method out there is going to have good instructors and bad instructors. My NG instructor can rocket golf balls like a mad man to the back of the range (all straight). I am sure that CG has legions of bad instructors as well, but to say that conventional golf is garbage because of 1 bad instructor should not tarnish the reputation of NG. To make a general statement like that from watching 1 person ( the NG Inst) hit one bad shot is pretty ridiculous in my opinion. I also see from your profile that you carry a handicap of 11 and I am sure that you still hit some grounders. Does that mean that your method sucks or that you are a bad golfer? Of course not. Even PGA pro's hit a bad shot everyonce in awhile but that in itself does not invalidate the method.
