This is too funny!  It reminds me of an incident during my waitressing days.  I was working at a fancy upscale restaurant in Mesa, Arizona at the time.  On this day our soup was Egg Drop Soup. speaking of soup...there is a specialty chinese soup made from what i think my grandmother explained to be the vomit of birds.  or something like that.  it's a freakin' delicacy, is absolutely delicious, and costs about 100 bucks for a few ounces.  you'd be surprised; what you find repellant, others find the norm...and vice versa! selena **************************************** if fashion is your trade then when you're naked i guess you must be unemployed

I've been meaning to post about the book The Japanese Way of Beauty, by Michelle Dominique Leigh. Now seems like the perfect time. Here's part of the introduction, the reason why I bought the book on a whim:    I began to gather the material for this book five    years ago.  The project originated in the most    casual manner.  I happened to notice, perched    inscrutably upon a shelf at the local drugstore,    a small paper envelope decorated with pink plum    blossoms and birds, and the words _Nightingale_Droppings_    written in English. Feeling a bit like Aice down    the rabbit hole, I couldn't resist buying the    mysterious packet.    A Japanese friend translated the fine print.     Mix the droppings with warm water and massage    into the face; you will get skin like a geisha's.    Plus a considerate warning, This product may    reek somewhat.  In the interest of broadening    my cultural horizons, I applied the faintly    pungent, somewhat reeking, greenish substance    to my face, massaged it in, let it sit there    a few minutes for good measure, and rinsed it    off.  Something magical had happened - my skin    seemed poreless, with a luster so silky, so    polished that it felt brand new!

I had always heard this as rumor, but I guess we women will do anything for beauty! Come to think of it, if it really worked, I would probably use it!
